Cowboys Icehouse
About This Spot
Walking into Cowboys Icehouse feels like stepping into a spirited Texas gathering spot where the energy quietly hums beneath the rustic charm. The space is cozy but never cramped—a dance hall that invites you to loosen up, find your rhythm, and settle into an easy, carefree evening. Whether it’s a Thursday night alive with college crowd energy or a more laid-back Friday, there’s an unmistakable sense of familiarity that welcomes both regulars and newcomers alike.
The pace here shifts gently throughout the week. On nights when the dance floor buzzes with laughter and music, it’s a lively pulse that encourages spontaneous connections—whether you’re coaxing a shy cowboy to join you or simply enjoying the spectacle from the sidelines. When the crowd thins, the atmosphere softens, offering a chance to savor a drink and a quieter conversation, or challenge a friend to a game of pool in the corner.
Drinks are served with genuine care, never falling into the watered-down trap, and the menu adds to the experience in a way that complements the setting instead of overwhelming it. There’s a satisfying simplicity to the food—the kind that feels like an honest, late-night bite after sliding off the dance floor, with tacos standing out as a favorite local treat that fits the vibe perfectly.
What makes Cowboys Icehouse truly memorable is the sense of community that lingers long after the music fades. The bartenders and staff, easygoing and approachable, become part of your night’s story, making even a cover charge feel like an invitation rather than a barrier. It’s a place where you don’t just come to drink or dance—you come to connect and belong, if only for a few hours.

Friday nights are the slow nights. Grab a cowboy that's shy and make them dance with you. Apparently Thursday night is hoping as college night if you're into that sort of thing. Saturday is the night to be there if you're looking for a big crowd. Friday is good for "cheaper" drinks and a smaller crowd. Find your fit, and set yourself to have a good time. Be prepared to pay a cover charge.

Love this bar! My wife and I love going here and watching people dance, the drinks are good, the music is always fun and playing pool when it slows down is always a great time!

My first experience . It's a small bar but we had a great time with friends and got to see one of my favorite singer, song writers Josh Ward

We went to watch someone play live on a Friday night. The drinks were good and not watered down. Nothing was overly expensive. There was a $10 cover at the door, but the staff was super polite and friendly. We really enjoyed the bar tender. Friday’s are apparently a little slow after the pandemic, but the staff said they’re slowly picking back up. Highly recommend.
